Leaders of the multi-party opposition alliance — Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain Pakistan (TTAP) — have said that the only solution to the prevailing political crisis lies in restoring democratic values, ensuring the rule of law, safeguarding judicial independence, and respecting the public mandate.

TTAP head Mahmood Khan Achakzai and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, leader of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, made these remarks during a meeting at the Zaman Park residence of PTI founder Imran Khan with bureau chiefs of electronic media.

They also condemned the recent government actions as undemocratic and unconstitutional, and reiterated calls for the immediate, unconditional release of political prisoners and the holding of free, fair, and transparent elections.

According to a joint statement issued after the meeting, Zaman Park has been a hub of political change and revolutionary movements for over two decades, symbolising resistance against unconstitutional measures.

The leaders emphasised that the TTAP will continue its struggle for justice, constitutional supremacy, and the restoration of parliamentary democracy, urging citizens to unite peacefully in defence of their constitutional rights.
