A student of a private university in Lahore died after allegedly falling from the roof of a campus building on Friday, police said.

According to sources, the victim was identified as 22-year-old Awais Sultan, a Semester Five student of the Pharm-D programme. He reportedly fell from the fourth floor of the building.

The student was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.

Police said the incident is being investigated to determine whether it was a case of suicide, an accident or homicide. Further inquiry is underway.
