PCB set to appoint Wahab Riaz as head coach of Pakistan women’s cricket team

Official announcement expected soon as former Pacer takes on new role despite limited coaching experience

According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has chosen to name former cricket player Wahab Riaz as the head coach of the national women’s cricket team.

An official announcement is anticipated shortly.

Wahab has previously served as a member of the national selection committee, senior manager, and team mentor, giving him a close understanding of the team’s environment and players’ abilities.

Although he has no formal coaching experience, sources said Wahab has completed a Level Two coaching course and also participated in a two-day ICC coaching workshop.

The PCB is expected to officially confirm the appointment in the coming days. The decision is aimed at bringing a new direction to the women’s team setup and improving its overall performance.
