Pakistan decides not to send junior hockey team to India for World Cup

The government has decided not to send Pakistan’s junior hockey team to India for the upcoming Junior Hockey World Cup, officials said on Thursday.

The decision was taken after a high-level consultative meeting in Islamabad.

According to the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has been informed of the government’s decision.

Sources said the move was made in view of security concerns for Pakistani players.

The Junior Hockey World Cup is scheduled to be played in India from November 28.
