US President Donald Trump has expressed confidence that the longstanding issues in the Middle East can be resolved, noting that the United States has successfully ended seven wars, with the Gaza conflict potentially becoming the eighth.

In an interview with American television, President Trump stated that, after nearly three thousand years, a resolution to the Middle East conflict seems achievable. He emphasised that peace could extend throughout the region, including Gaza.

Trump hailed the prospect of establishing overall peace in the Middle East as an extraordinary accomplishment, asserting that not only would Gaza experience peace, but attaining complete tranquility there would be a significant achievement.

When asked about the ongoing government shutdown, President Trump warned that it could lead to layoffs and project cuts.

Additionally, the Trump administration has frozen $26 billion in funding earmarked for Democratic-majority states, with $18 billion allocated for infrastructure projects in New York being the most substantial portion.

White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt indicated that President Trump has set a red line for accepting peace proposals, specifying a timeframe for Hamas. She described the president’s plan as highly promising.
