Two sisters were injured on Monday when the roof of their house collapsed during a heavy windstorm in the Islami Colony area, Bahawalpur.

According to a spokesperson, the sisters — Rida and Khadija — were inside their room when the roof suddenly gave way due to strong winds. Both sustained injuries in the incident.

Rescue 1122 teams promptly arrived at the scene and provided first aid.

One of the sisters, who suffered head injuries, was later shifted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) for further medical treatment.
