Oil and gas reserves discovered in Attock, boosting energy sector
Pakistan’s energy sector has received a major boost with the discovery of new oil and gas reserves in the Attock district of Punjab.
According to the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), the reserves were found in the Soghri Block of Attock.
Initial estimates suggest that the newly discovered site could produce 13.95 million cubic feet per day (MMCFD) of natural gas and 430 barrels of crude oil per day.
Experts see this discovery as a significant step toward Pakistan’s energy self-sufficiency. It is expected to enhance the country’s energy supply and provide a much-needed boost to the national economy.
With growing energy demands, such discoveries play a crucial role in reducing dependence on imports and strengthening domestic production.
