A portion of the Karachi’s University Road was closed on Monday for traffic following damage to a water pipeline near Old Sabzi Mandi, which occurred during construction work for the bus rapid transit system.

According to traffic police, officials from the Water Board, along with machinery, have arrived at the site to repair the broken pipeline.

The closure is impacting traffic from Hassan Square to New Town, and commuters are being redirected.

Vehicles coming from NIPA are being diverted via the Expo turning, while those from Essa Nagri are being directed toward the stadium via the Hassan Square bridge.
