Bangladesh army delegation calls on COAS to bolster defense ties
Lieutenant General S M Kamr-ul-Hassan, Principal Staff Officer of Bangladesh’s Armed Forces Division, met with General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of Pakistan, at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral military cooperation and addressing evolving regional security dynamics.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of a robust and enduring defense relationship between Pakistan and Bangladesh, highlighting the need for resilience against external pressures.
General Munir reiterated the significance of joint efforts to promote peace and stability in South Asia and beyond, stressing the continued contribution of both nations to regional security through collaborative defense initiatives.
Lieutenant General Kamr-ul-Hassan lauded the Pakistan Army’s professionalism and acknowledged the significant sacrifices made by its personnel in the fight against terrorism, praising their courage and determination.
The delegation also called upon CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza.
