The Federal Directorate of Education announced winter vacations for government schools in Islamabad on Wednesday.

According to the notification, schools will remain closed from December 30 to January 8. Classes will resume from January 9.

The notification has also asked heads of schools to provide a plan for the academic improvement of students.

Vacations have already been announced for Islamabad’s private schools on December 20.
