Norwegian journalist denies links to alleged smear campaign against Blake Lively
Kjersti Flaa, a Norwegian entertainment journalist, has refuted any ties to an alleged smear campaign orchestrated by Justin Baldoni against actress Blake Lively.
This comes in light of claims from a recent New York Times article, which outlined an alleged strategy by Baldoni and his team to tarnish Lively’s reputation following her accusations of misconduct against him on the set of It Ends With Us.
The controversy intensified when Flaa reposted a 2016 interview with Lively, where the actress responded strongly to a remark about her “baby bump.” Flaa labeled the reposted video
“The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job,” which reignited criticism of Lively online.
The Times piece hinted at a potential link between Flaa’s repost and crisis management expert Melissa Nathan, who is reportedly connected to the alleged smear campaign.
In response to recent allegations, Flaa took to Threads to categorically deny any connection to an alleged smear campaign against actress Blake Lively.
“I see things are starting to snowball, and people think I had something to do with this,” Flaa stated. “I had nothing to do with it. When I read the text messages between Justin Baldoni’s PR team, I was as shocked and appalled as everyone else.”
Flaa clarified that her decision to repost a 2016 interview with Lively was independent and aimed at highlighting the challenges she faced in her career. “I showed how Blake Lively behaved in my interview, and that’s it,” she added.
The lawsuit against Baldoni includes accusations of sexual harassment, retaliation, and efforts to damage Lively’s public image. Flaa encouraged viewers to check out her YouTube video on the topic, reiterating her lack of involvement in any coordinated campaign.
