Karachi braces for cold weather as PMD forecasts brisk winds
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that starting today, Karachi will experience brisk winds, which are expected to further intensify the cold weather.
Residents are advised to prepare for colder conditions, especially during the mornings and evenings when the chill is most pronounced. The city has already begun feeling the effects of the cold snap, with temperatures dropping noticeably.
In addition to the cold weather, Karachi is also grappling with serious air quality issues. The city has been marked as the most polluted in Pakistan, with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reaching 233 early this morning.
As authorities and health officials monitor the situation, residents are urged to take precautions against both the cold and the poor air quality.
