A vehicle carrying members of Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ali Nasir Rizvi’s security detail was involved in an accident near Sheikhupura.

The accident, attributed to mechanical failure, resulted in the death of one Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officer and injuries to four other police officers.

The injured officers were transported to the Sheikhupura DHQ Hospital for treatment.

Initial police investigations indicate that mechanical failure was the cause of the accident.
