Ben Stokes, the captain of the England Test cricket team, revealed that his home was burglarized while he was away on a tour in Pakistan.

The incident occurred on October 17, when masked intruders broke into his residence in Castle Eden, where his wife and two young children were present. Thankfully, his family was unharmed, but Stokes expressed concern over the emotional impact the ordeal has had on them.

In a heartfelt social media post, Stokes appealed for help in recovering stolen items, including his OBE medal, which holds significant sentimental value.

He stated, “Many of those items are irreplaceable.” Stokes urged anyone with information to contact the Durham constabulary, thanking the police for their diligent support in the investigation.

Despite the distraction of the burglary, Stokes played in the second Test match against Pakistan shortly after the incident, although the team faced a disappointing defeat.
