Indian media working overtime to associate Zakir Naik with banned organisation in Pakistan
Some anti-Muslim segments of the Indian press have launched a campaign alleging that Dr. Naik’s meetings with prominent figures at Lahore’s Badshahi Mosque were actually with members of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
During his stay, Dr. Naik is scheduled to meet with high-ranking government officials and participate in public events until October 28.
Pro-Modi media has intensified its negative rhetoric, claiming he met with Lashkar-e-Taiba members, including individuals named Muzammil Iqbal Hashmi, Muhammad Haris Dahr, and Faisal Nadeem.
To bolster their claims, these outlets circulated a fabricated video purportedly showing Dr. Naik embracing Lashkar-e-Taiba members during his mosque visit, further fueling the controversy surrounding his trip.
Dr. Zakir Naik, the internationally renowned Islamic scholar, is currently in Pakistan, where he has been delivering speeches at various gatherings.
