Case regarding Adiala Jail superintendent dismissed after arrest revealed
The Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench dismissed a petition related to the arrest of former Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail, Muhammad Akram.
The petition was withdrawn by the petitioner’s lawyer based on the revelation of the arrest. Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz then dismissed the case.
During the hearing, the Assistant Advocate General informed the court that Akram had been arrested by the Sheikhupura Anti-Corruption Establishment on charges of bribery, specifically accepting a bribe of Rs95,000.
The court was also informed that a physical remand had been obtained from the Sheikhupura Anti-Corruption Court.

Given the arrest and subsequent proceedings, the petitioner’s lawyer, Eman Mazari, withdrew the petition.
The petition had originally been filed by Meemona, the wife of the former Deputy Superintendent, in the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench.
