The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched a new initiative focused on the registration of IP addresses and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to facilitate uninterrupted internet access for freelancers, businesses, and foreign embassies operating in Pakistan.

This program aims to enhance internet connectivity and security for users, with the PTA encouraging foreign missions to register their VPNs promptly to avoid any service disruptions.

The registration process is free and typically takes two to three days, following verification from the internet service provider. However, those needing more than five IP addresses will incur an IP whitelisting fee.

Additionally, servers located outside of Pakistan that serve local users must also be registered under this initiative.
