Bollywood actress Ananya Panday has denied rumours claiming that celebrities were paid to attend the extravagant wedding of Anant Ambani, son of business tycoon Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant.

Anant Ambani married his longtime girlfriend, Radhika Merchant, in July, following a series of pre-wedding events organized by the Ambani family earlier this year. The celebrations featured a star-studded guest list, including top Bollywood stars, prominent Indian cricketers, and influential personalities, all contributing to what has been dubbed the “big fat Indian wedding of the year.”

Despite reports suggesting that attendees were compensated for their presence, Ananya clarified that her involvement was purely based on friendship.

“They are my friends. I don’t understand why people think like this,” she stated. “Of course, I’ll dance wholeheartedly at my friends’ wedding. I love celebrating love.”

Ananya commended the Ambani family for their hospitality during the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. She noted that every guest was greeted with warmth and love, regardless of the number of events held. “No matter how many functions there were, they welcomed everyone with so much affection,” she remarked.

While teflecting on the couple’s relationship, Ananya said: “Whenever Anant and Radhika looked at each other, it was pure love. It felt like violins were playing in the background. That’s the kind of connection I aspire to have in life—no matter the chaos around you, sharing that bond with someone is invaluable.”
