A report from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has revealed that 337 personnel and civilians were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) since the beginning of this year.

The report also indicated that 616 individuals sustained injuries due to attacks by banned organizations.

In Peshawar, 103 police officers were martyred and 154 injured in terrorism-related incidents. Overall, the report stated that 103 civilians lost their lives, while 159 were injured.

Dera Ismail Khan reported that 63 members of security forces and police with 49 Frontier Corps personnel were killed with 49 Frontier Corps personnel killed and 124 injured this year whereas 8 law enforcement officials were martyred, with 4 others wounded.

The report also highlighted that terrorists targeted politicians, resulting in the deaths of 4 in Bajaur and North Waziristan, while 2 others were injured.

Dera Ismail Khan saw the highest number of police casualties, with 25 officers killed and 23 injured, followed closely by Bannu with 23 police fatalities and 20 injuries.

The report outlined additional fatalities across various districts, revealing that Bannu suffered 58 deaths, followed by North Waziristan with 50 and South Waziristan with 38. Bajaur reported 29 fatalities, while Khyber had 22 and Peshawar recorded 18.

Kurram experienced 16 deaths, and both Mardan and Malakand reported 11 each. Kohat had 10 fatalities, Dir recorded 8, and Mohmand and Hazara reported 2 and 1 death, respectively.
