The Legend of Maula Jatt set to release in Indian theaters in October
Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt, featuring actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, is set to officially release in India on October 2.
The announcement was made through the official Instagram page, stating: “The Legend Of Maula Jatt’s legacy lives on! Catch the cinematic masterpiece in Indian theatres from 2nd October 2024. Book your tickets now!”
The post also teased further updates, mentioning, “P.S. Cinema lists to be shared soon.”
The film was initially slated to be released in India in December 2022.
The movie was planned to be released in September 2024 in India, according to Indian media.
The film was earlier planned for a December 2022 release in India but faced opposition from Hindu far-right groups and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), leading to the cancellation of the release.
Following the international success, speculation is that a leading Indian production house, possibly Zee Studios, was planning to release the film in India on September 20, 2024.
Directed by Bilal Lashari, “The Legend of Maula Jatt” was released worldwide on October 13, 2022, and was a huge box office success.
