Gandapur calls proposed constitutional amendment ‘attack on democracy’

Gandapur reiterated his commitment to upholding the rule of law

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has strongly condemned the proposed constitutional amendment, calling it a direct attack on democracy. He vowed to oppose the amendment, stating that his government stands firmly with the judiciary.

Speaking to the media in Peshawar, the CM expressed his disbelief at the attempt to pass such a bill, declaring, “They think they can bring this bill and succeed? We will not let them succeed.”

“We will defeat them in parliament, and then no one will dare to present such a bill again,” he added.

Gandapur reiterated his commitment to upholding the rule of law and defending the democratic process. He asserted that the proposed amendment is a blatant attempt to undermine the constitution and the judiciary.
