Hot, humid weather expected across Pakistan this week, says PMD
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted hot and humid weather conditions across the region from September 16 to 22.
A continental air mass is prevailing over most parts of the country, accompanied by a shallow westerly wave affecting the northern and western regions.
From September 16 to 17, mainly hot and dry weather is expected across most areas, although isolated rain and thunderstorms may occur in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan during the night.
From September 18 to September 22, primarily hot and dry weather is forecasted to continue throughout the country.
There is a possibility of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, and Kurram during the morning tomorrow.
In Sindh, for today, the maximum temperatures could be recorded in various cities including Nawabshah at 39 degrees Celsius, Dadu at 39 degrees Celsius, Thatta at 35 degrees Celsius, Sukkur at 39 degrees Celsius, Hyderabad at 38 degrees Celsius and Karachi at 32 degrees Celsius.

The PMD has predicted Islamabad temperature for today to be 34 degrees Celsius on the other hand, for Balochistan, Quetta, Gwadar and Kalat to be at 32, 34 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
Yesterday, the highest recorded maximum temperatures were 40 degrees Celsius in Sibbi, and 39 degrees Celsius in Dalbandin, Nokkundi, and Turbat.
