North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has expressed a commitment to enhance relations with Russia during a meeting with Russian Security Chief Sergei Shoigu.

This visit is significant amid accusations that North Korea is supplying ammunition to Russia in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

State media reported that Kim and Shoigu engaged in “constructive” discussions focused on deepening strategic dialogue and cooperation to protect mutual security interests.

The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere, with Kim wishing President Vladimir Putin good health.

Recent military collaborations between North Korea and Russia have increased, highlighted by Putin’s visit to Pyongyang earlier this year, where a mutual defense agreement was signed.
