The Sindh government has prohibited pillion riding on motorcycles in various cities, including Karachi, in light of security concerns during Eid-i-Miladun Nabi and the Ashura procession for five days.

The Sindh Home Department imposed the ban at the request of the inspector general of Police.

According to the notification, the restriction on double riding will be in effect from September 13 to 17 in Karachi, as well as in Hyderabad, Larkana, and Sukkur.

This measure aims to enhance security during the upcoming events and ensure public safety.

Moreover, the Sindh government has declared a public holiday on September 17 (Tuesday) on the occasion of Eid-i-Miladun Nabi.
