A bomb blast near the vehicle of tribal leader Malik Jameel in the Karri Kot village of Wana tehsil, South Waziristan, has resulted in the death of his son and injuries to four others, including the leader himself.

According to police, the incident occurred as Malik Jameel was traveling from Karri Kot to Wana Bazaar.

The explosion, which took place near his vehicle on the roadside, killed his son, Shamsuddin, on the spot.

Four others, including Malik Jameel and two passersby, sustained injuries in the blast. They were immediately transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Police are investigating the incident and gathering further information.

Speaking to the media, Malik Jamil denied having any personal animosity with anyone.
