Tiger injures its own handler in Australia
An animal handler at Dreamworld theme park in Australia’s Gold Coast was mauled by a tiger on Monday, resulting in deep lacerations on her arm.
Emergency services transported the woman, who is in her 30s, to the hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
Dreamworld acknowledged the incident, emphasizing that it involved a trained handler and expressing its commitment to supporting the staff member affected.
The park described the event as an isolated occurrence and announced plans for a thorough review.

Dreamworld, known for housing nine tigers, including Sumatran and Bengal species, is the largest theme park in Australia.
This incident follows a tragic malfunction of the park’s Thunder River Rapids Ride in 2016, which resulted in four fatalities.
