The Punjab government has finalized a deal to oversee more than 3,600 government schools through a collaboration between the public and private sectors, on Thursday.

The ceremony was held in Lahore and featured Punjab’s Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat, as the distinguished guest.

This agreement will see 3,600 schools run by 21 non-governmental organizations, 12 educational networks, and a tech company focused on education.

The goal of this initiative is to integrate over 1.8 million children into the educational system.

Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat pointed out the initiative’s potential to create respectable job opportunities for many educated youths.
