Karachi Safari Park gets ‘jumbo jump’ attraction
In a move to expand recreational offerings for the public, the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation has opened a new inflatable adventure park called “jumbo jump” at the city’s Safari Park.
The new attraction was inaugurated by Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab Siddiqi on Friday.
At the opening ceremony, Wahab stated that the KMC was focused on creating more public spaces and reclaiming land that was previously encroached upon, in order to convert it into new recreational facilities for the people of Karachi. He noted that the Safari Park has already seen recent improvements and additions.
While highlighting the affordability of the new attraction, Wahab explained that while a similar experience in the affluent Defense Housing Authority area would cost Rs2,500 per person, at the Safari Park the same entertainment and adventure can be enjoyed for just Rs700 per visitor.
This, he said, was in line with the KMC’s objective of providing healthy and economical leisure options for the citizens of Karachi.
