To transform federal government offices into paperless workspaces, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has tasked the information technology ministry and other relevant departments with the responsibility of implementing the initiative.

“There will be no tolerance for any delay in the rollout of the e-office system,” the prime minister said in a statement on Sunday.

He has directed that starting next month, he would not entertain any physical files, and all work must be conducted through the e-office platform.

“I will not see any file other than those in the e-office system from the next month onwards,” PM Shehbaz stated, indicating his commitment to bringing the federal government’s operations into the digital age.

The federal government has identified the “implementation of the e-office system” as one of its foremost priorities to bring about greater transparency and efficiency in the system.

PM Shehbaz has stated that it must be ensured that all government offices utilize the e-office platform for file management and processing. The Prime Minister’s Office staff completed their training on the e-office system last week.
