A new report of an altercation between fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and Muhammad Yousuf has emerged, with the matter being settled after management’s intervention.

The news has surfaced amid reports that the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, had received a complaint about Afridi’s behavior towards the coaches.

It was revealed that the incident occurred during net practice in Headingley, before the World Cup, and not during the World Cup itself.

Afridi had shown disrespect towards Yousaf, who was pointing out that Afridi was repeatedly bowling no-balls. Afridi took offense to this intervention, and the disagreement escalated into an argument between the two.

The team management admonished Afridi, which made him realize his mistake, apologizing to Yousuf in front of the team and resolving the issue.

Team management described the incident as a ‘heat of the moment’ issue.

The coaches also complained about Afridi’s behavior during the World Cup in their report.

There was also a consultation to take strict action against Shaheen Shahid Afridi and 2-3 other players.

There was an agreement to give more opportunities to domestic performers in the home series against Bangladesh. It was also decided to hold a training camp in Rawalpindi for the preparation of the two Test matches.
