The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to form a new five-member selection committee, with the names of the members now revealed.

The new selection committees will include the respective format’s captain for white-ball and Test team selections.

Sources indicate that the five-member national selection committee will consist of Mohammad Yousaf, Asad Shafiq, Jason Gillespie, Gary Kirsten, and the captain.

The committee’s first assignment will be the selection for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh.

This announcement comes after the PCB initiated a major overhaul of the national team following their disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup, where they were eliminated in the first round.

As part of the restructuring, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had already removed former selection committee members Wahab Riaz and Abdul Razzaq.
