Ayesha Jahanzeb’s husband arrested after domestic violence complaint
Prominent Pakistani television anchorperson Ayesha Jahanzeb has accused her husband of domestic violence, leading to his arrest and subsequent court appearance.
In her statement to the police, Jahanzeb alleged that her husband, Haris, had physically assaulted her on multiple occasions this year, claiming it happened three to four times.
The anchor revealed that Haris had secretly married another woman, which fueled his violent behavior towards her.
Jahanzeb stated that she had tried to salvage her marriage but the abuse continued, resulting in severe injuries. She has now decided to pursue legal action against her husband.
Based on Jahanzeb’s complaint, the police registered a case at the Sarwar Road police station and subsequently arrested Haris.
