Shah Mahmood Qureshi shifted to Lahore
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been transferred from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.
According to jail sources, the former Foreign Minister was moved in the early hours of the morning under tight security.
Jail sources revealed that Qureshi will be presented before the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court, where he faces multiple cases related to the May 9 incidents in Lahore.
Police had reportedly conducted investigations with Qureshi in Adiala Jail regarding the May 9 cases.
Barrister Taimur Malik, Qureshi’s lawyer, confirmed that the judge of the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court will hear the May 9 cases at Kot Lakhpat Jail today.
