In view of the upcoming Eid ul-Azha celebration, the Lahore High Court has extended the business hours for markets in Lahore.

Justice Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court heard the petitions filed by citizen Farooq Haroon and others regarding the mitigation of smog.

The honorable court has granted permission for markets to remain open until 12 am on the occasion of Eid ul-Azha.

The Lahore High Court has also directed that markets be allowed to remain open until 1 am on weekends.
