Hardik Pandya absent from Indian team’s batch leaving for T20 World Cup
Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya was absent from the team as they left for the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in the United States of America and West Indies.
The absence of the Mumbai Indians captain has sparked speculation about a potential divorce from his wife, Natasa Stankovic.
This speculation arose after Natasa Stankovic posted a vague message on her social media accounts.
It was initially expected that Pandya would be part of the first group of players leaving for the US, especially since his team, the Mumbai Indians, had been eliminated from the Indian Premier League (IPL) playoffs early.
However, neither Hardik nor Natasa have officially addressed these speculations.
Reports suggest that Hardik is currently in London for a short training session, and is expected to join the national team directly from there, rather than travelling with the initial group.
The first group of Indian players including Indian Captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja were at the Mumbai airport to embark on their journey for this year’s cricket tournament.
Other team members include Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel, the support staff and head coach Rahul Dravid to compete for the T20 World Cup.
