Sweeper found examining patients at Wazirabad hospital

The doctor on duty had reportedly fallen asleep

In a shocking incident at Tehsil Hospital in Wazirabad, patients were found being examined by a sweeper in the absence of a doctor. A video capturing the incident went viral on social media, causing widespread outrage and concern.

The incident occurred when the medical superintendent at Tehsil Hospital fell asleep on duty prompting the sweeper to take up his job.

The viral video clearly shows Abdul Sattar, the hospital sweeper sitting on the doctor’ chair, conducting check-ups of distressed patients at the THQ Hospital Wazirabad. Meanwhile, the duty doctor was noticeably absent from his seat.

Taking advantage of the situation, the sweeper examined more than a dozen patients, impersonating a doctor. When contacted by Aaj News, Dr. Hassan Tariq, the hospital’s MS, denied having any knowledge of the sweeper conducting patient check-ups.

It is worth noting that a similar incident occurred at the same hospital a while ago when a video of an office boy performing eye surgeries went viral, raising serious concerns about the hospital’s management and patient safety.

The authorities have come under severe criticism for their failure to ensure proper supervision and quality healthcare services at Tehsil Hospital. The incident has sparked demands for an immediate investigation and strict action against those responsible for compromising patient care and safety.
