Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi presented special jerseys to white-ball cricket team captain Babar Azam and pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi to celebrate their recent achievements.

Babar achieved the most wins as a T20I captain, while Shaheen completed his 300 international wickets during the second T20I against Ireland in Dublin on Sunday.

Thetourists beat the hosts by seven wickets in the second T20 match after fiery innings by Fakhar Zaman and Muhammad Rizwan.

Batting first, Ireland posted a massive 193 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. Lorcan Tucker starred with 51 runs from 34 balls.

Shaheen took 3 wickets for 49 runs while Abbas Afridi chipped in with 2 wickets. In reply, Pakistan got off to a rocky start, losing 2 wickets for 13 runs.

Azam Khan added 30 from 10 balls to take Pakistan home with 3.1 overs unused.

“I’m relieved, credit to all batters,” said Azam.

“We lost a few wickets early on but we kept the momentum going. It was a good decision to bowl first because it was overcast and there was a bit of rain.”

Ireland had claimed their first ever T20 victory against Pakistan in the series opener on Friday, winning by five wickets with one ball to spare.

Pakistan will also face Ireland in the group stage of next month’s T20 World Cup in the United States and the West Indies.
