PDMA issues alert on heatwave and rainfall in Punjab

The disaster management authority PDMA has issued an alert regarding a possible heatwave and storms in Punjab.

According to the PDMA, the temperature is expected to rise by 5 degrees Celsius by May 10, with particularly susceptible to heatwave conditions.

In different parts of Punjab, rainfall is predicted from May 10 to 12.

PDMA has forecasted heavy rainfall in the districts of South Punjab on May 10 and 11.

the PDMA has alerted the administration to be prepared for the expected heatwave and storms following the instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister.

The PDMA has urged the public to take the following precautions including drinking water, avoiding the sun, staying indoors during the hottest part of the day, wearing loose and light-colored clothes, and using sunscreen.
