Terrorist killed trying to stop passenger vehicles in Balochistan’s Harnai: ISPR
A terrorist was killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in Balochistan’s Harnai district on Saturday, the military’s media wing said.
In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations said that the terrorists tried to stop passenger vehicles plying on Sanjavi Road, Harnai.
“Security forces reacted immediately and effectively engaged the terrorists. Resultantly, one terrorist was killed, while another got injured,” the ISPR said.
“The timely response by the security forces thwarted nefarious intent of the terrorists, saving innocent lives,” the statement said and added that the sanitisation operation was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.
“Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.”
Earlier this month, terrorists singled out and murdered nine passengers in Balochistan’s Nushki on the basis of their ethnic or confessional identity.
The bodies of the victims were discovered beneath a bridge in the mountainous area of Noshki, with gunshot wounds inflicted on various parts of their bodies. The deceased individuals were identified as residents of Mandi Bahauddin and Gujranwala.
