A high-profile terrorist with Rs5 million bounty on his head was killed in an intelligence-based operation in KP’s Buner district, ISPR said on Saturday.

Two Pakistan Army soldiers were also martyred in the exchange of fire, it said.

Saleem alias Rabbani was involved in attacks against security forces and civilians. He was also involved in extortion and targeted killings.

Lance Haveldar Mudassir Mahmood and Lance Naik Haseeb Javed fought bravely during the fired fight that also left two terrorists wounded.

Mahmood was from Rawalpindi district. He has left his parents, wife and two sons grieving.

Haseeb was from Azad Kashmir’s Punch district.
