Actress Sajal Ali received Tamgh-e-Imtiaz for a Zee5 series, Dhoop Ki Deewar, where she advocated for Pakistan-India peace amid ongoing tension in the region.

The Mom actress received the highest civilian honour on Saturday on account of Pakistan’s Resolution Day at the Governor House Punjab, in Lahore.

Tamgh-e-Imtiaz was awarded to Sajal Ali by the head of state to acknowledge her services in the field of acting. In 2021 Sajal also won the Filmfare award for Outstanding Performance.

She wore a long anarkali frock, featuring long sleeves in an off-white colour, embellished with silver sequins.
