Arts Council Karachi hosts Dance Junction season 2
Karachi Arts Council in collaboration with Wahab Shah and Company hosted another season of Dance Junction for people.
The event took place at the Arts Council of Pakistan on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day. The night was filled with various performances that paid tribute to Pakistani musicians and the music industry.
Different dance performances were given by renowned dancer Nighat Chaudhry, Mani Chow and other performers with songs from the 1970s, the golden era of the industry sung by Nadia Hassan, Sajjad Ali and Abrar-ul-Haq.
Famous dancer Wahab Shah emphasized that this event was a portrayal of Sufism and a representation of Pakistani culture. He added that performances at the event also shared art among people.
Arts Council President Ahmed Shah stressed that art and culture are not indecent and added that this guarded the safety of women.
Shah shared the vision of the Arts Council that the place welcomes individuals who cannot afford to practice dance with the help of this platform.
Dance Junction is considered as the best platform for newcomers interested in dance.
