PPP, PML-N throw breakfast for MPs at Parliament’s lush green lawns
PPP and PML-N threw a breakfast on the lush green lawns of the Parliament House on Saturday as they hosted MPs of the ruling coalition before a key vote for the election of the country’s 14th president.
The rich breakfast was jointly hosted by the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N. Members from other parties in the six-party ruling coalition, including PMLQ, BAP , and IPP, also attended.
PPP’s Saleem Mandviwala was among the organizers and inspected the dishes before they were served.
Chefs were seen busy cooking Halwa Puri and other dishes on the Parliament House lawn.
Pakistan’s parliament has an old tradition of hosting breakfasts for MPs before key sessions and the tradition was upheld during the PTI rule, too.
The Parliament House also features a cafeteria for Senators and National Assembly members.
It has undergone renovations recently before the current National Assembly was sworn in on February 29.
