Social media post on missing IndiGo’s flight seat cushions goes viral
A social media post about missing flight seat cushions on an IndiGo flight has gained traction, amassing one million views and triggering various reactions on X, formerly called Twitter.
The passenger was travelling from Bengaluru to Bhopal. She also shared a photo of her seat. “Beautiful IndiGo — I do hope I land safely! :) This is your flight from Bengaluru to Bhopal 6E 6465.”
In reply, IndiGo said that the missing seat cushions were part of cleaning purposes. “Our cabin crew promptly informed the customers who were allotted these seats.”
It was standard practice for cleaning during transit as and when required, the Indian airline added.
“We are committed to providing the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene to our customers.”
It merits here to mention that it was the first that pictures of cushion-less seats onboard flights have circulated on social media.
A passenger en route to Saudi Arabia was arrested at Mumbai airport for smoking a beedi (thin cigarette) in the lavatory during a Delhi-Mumbai flight.
