JUI-F to field candidate for Balochistan CM seat

The Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) has decided to field its candidate for the chief minister of Balochistan seat, sources said on Tuesday.

The party has contacted the National Party, Awami National Party (ANP) and Balochistan National Party (BNP) in this regard.

Sources within the party said that JUI-F will also contest the election for the speaker and deputy speaker of the provincial assembly.

The party leaders will hold a meeting with other political parties for the potential alliance.

It is pertinent to mention that the Punjab and Sindh Assemblies have elected their chief minister a day earlier.

PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz was elected the chief minister of Punjab while PPP’s Murad Ali Shah became the chief minister of Sindh for the third consecutive term.

Meanwhile, the maiden session of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has been summoned on February 28.

PTI’s Ali Amin Gandapur has been nominated for the coveted seat of the chief minister by the PTI founder Imran Khan.
