PSL 9: Lahore Qalandars opt to bat first against Quetta Gladiators
Khawaja Nafay hit 60 runs of 31 balls to guide Quetta Gladiators to a win against Lahore Qalandars on Monday.
Lahore Qalandars won the toss and opted to bat first in the Qaddafi Stadium on Monday, posting 187/7 in the allotted 20 overs.
Sahibzada Farhan starred with 62 runs of 43 balls while Jahandad Khan scored 45 off 17 balls for the Qalandars. Akeal Hosein grabbed 2 wickets for 17 runs
In response, the Qalandars made 188 runs with five balls to spare off Nafay’s heroics including four 4s and three 6s. Saud Shakeel also chipped in with 40 off 23.
The Qalandars, the defending champions went into the game after facing a defeat after facing a defeat against Islamabad United in the opening match.
Gladiators, on the other hand, have won their first game a day earlier as they defeated Peshawar Zalmi.
