It would be better for travellers to avoid the Karachi-Hyderabad motorway as the traffic was blocked due Grand Democratic Alliance sit-in at the M-9 motorway in Jamshoro on Friday.

A large number of supporters of the party in Sindh gathered after Friday prayers in the motorway to protest against alleged rigging in the February 8 elections.

In a statement on Thursday, the local administration asked travellers to avoid the Jamshoro route and asked them to take the national highway on the Thatta route.

The National Highway and Motorway Police issued a traffic update for Hala to Karachi New Sabzi Mandi and Lyari Expressway (Sohrab Goth to Agra Taaj)

They have created two diversion points from the Hatri Bypass and Loonikot interchange due to Public Protest.
