Army should refrain from doing business: CJP
Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa has said that the army has been carrying out business activities on lands that were given for military purposes.
CJP Isa conducted the hearing on a case about commercial activities on the ninistry of defence lands.
During the hearing, CJP Isa told the assistant general of Pakistan that all institutions including the army and judiciary need to do their job.
He raised concerns over army building marriage halls and other commercial structures on military lands.

CJP Isa sought assurance from the AGP to make sure that the army only defended the country and did not get involved in business activities.
