Muzaffargarh SHO denies Jamshed Dasti’s accusations
Muzaffargarh SHO Khurram Riaz has denied politician Jamshed Dasti’s accusations that officials from intelligence agencies and the Counter Terrorism Department raided his house last night.
“This morning, a video related to Jamshed Dasti was being circulated on social media after which many social media users raised questions. Upon search, it was found that neither any kind of raid was conducted on Dasti’s house nor his family was harassed,” Riaz said in a video statement on Monday.
The denial comes after Dasti video was uploaded on social media in which he made accusations against the CTD and intelligence agencies personnel. He alleged that his family was kept hostage for multiple hours where his wife was stripped and children beaten.
Riaz stated that Dasti’s wife had visited the returning officer’s office on Saturday for the submission of her nomination papers. The SHO added that she was neither harassed at that moment nor she had made any complaints.
While speaking about the past of Dasti, Riaz said that as many as 40 cases have been registered against him. “Such kinds of videos portray Dasti’s negative propaganda and negative politics,” he said and claimed that the politician has also made such videos in the past to spread fear and panic among people.
According to the SHO, the recent video was also part of his negative politics. “If Dasti’s has any issue related to anything, he should approach the relevant forum,” he said and added that legal procedure would be followed.
