Mother injured while saving children in Chilas attack shifted to Karachi
Roshan Bibi, who was injured in the Chilas attack while trying to save her children, has been shifted to Karachi to get further medical treatment.
She was shifted from Islamabad on Friday night to Karachi, where a team of doctors at the Agha Khan Hospital will look after her.
The woman had heroically shielded her children as unidentified gunmen opened fire on their bus in Chilas.
She had recived six bullets to her body, out of which four hit her in the spinal cord and two were lodged in liver and stomach.
However, she had not lost conciousness and was shifted to a Gilgit Hospital.
Speaking to reporters later, she had expressed satisfaction at her decision.
At least nine people had died and 26 injured when gunmen attacked a bus in Chilas. Rescuers had found 25 survivors in total.
The perpetrators of the attack have still not been identified.
